This beautiful house has a spacious and cozy living room, great for lounging with family or watching a TV on the 70” TV with surround sound. All TVs in the home come with free Netflix for your viewing pleasure. This “smart” house is equipped with a HomePod (in the kitchen) where you can ask Siri to turn the AC/Heat on/off, to turn the living room lights on/off, or to play your favorite song. You can also connect to the HomePod to play music from your iPhone. You won’t find faster internet in town than at this house. Equipped with Gigabit internet, you can connect as many devices as you’d like without lag in speed. The home has central heating and cooling. As big as the house is, the units have no issue keeping up during the hottest months of the year. In addition, the home has a water softener and a high capacity hot water heater that never disappoints––allowing for multiple showers without losing heat.
The kitchen is large, great for hosting, and has cookware and bakeware available. Did I mention the view from the kitchen window? *chef’s kiss* The kitchen also (very importantly) has four coffee mechanisms (a Keurig, a drip coffee maker, a French press, and an espresso machine) and an electric kettle for the tea drinkers.
The master bedroom is located downstairs and has a connecting full bathroom with a jet tub. The other three bedrooms are located upstairs with the second full bathroom also located upstairs (and also equipped with a jet tub). The first upstairs bedroom, “the brick room”, has a small mini-fridge. The middle room, “the Pinterest room”, is the only bedroom upstairs with an Apple TV and a desk. The third bedroom, “the cozy quarters” features photos of New Mexico taken by your hosts. Outside of the third bedroom at the end of the hallway is the other desk area that also has an oversized beanbag nearby for lounging when you need a break :)
Also available to you is a laundry room with a Samsung washer and dryer and a hanging rack. We provide laundry soap (the preferred soap for our washer) and dryer sheets.
Saving possibly the best for last, the backyard is one of our favorite features of this property. If you wake up early to enjoy your coffee as the sun rises, you will probably see the adorable quail grazing in the grass area or up on the rock wall. Behind the house is an arroyo with a direct view of the Organ Mountains. Other wildlife you might spot in the yard are roadrunners, cactus wrens, hummingbirds, prairie hawks, and woodpeckers. The yard has a dining area that seats six, another two seater high top, and four seats surround a fire pit (wood is provided). There is a propane BBQ grill available for use to grill your favorite foods. The yard also has a small grassy area for you to enjoy.
It is a quick 45 minute drive to White Sands National Park, and we have sleds available for use :)
