Charming 1940’s cottage garden level apartment with a great backyard for morning coffee or evening BBQs. A short walk to Holiday Park or a quick drive to Historic Downtown or Frontier Park. This garden level apartment has everything you need for a fun getaway or a home away from home. A spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a comfy queen bed in the bedroom and twin sleeper couch in the living room.
The space
Guests have access to the backyard, complete with a privacy fence, bistro table, and BBQ area. The yard is a really nice place to unwind in the evenings next to a small fire or to start your day right with coffee in the sunshine. We love our little backyard garden and often get to share some of our fresh herbs and veggie when they are in season.
The newly restored kitchen has all the charm of a 1940’s cottage with a vintage fridge. It is fully equipped with everything you need for a short stay or for long-term rental: pots, pans, crockpot, grill, microwave, toaster, knives, cooking utensils, French press, and more.
The living room has original wood paneling and a cozy vibe. The couch is perfect to stretch out and watch a movie on the Roku Tv or you can have fun with the board games and puzzles provided. Our antique desk is a great workspace with all the basics and plenty of plug-ins. The Wifi works well from anywhere in the apartment and much of the yard if you want to take those emails outdoors.
The bathroom has a vintage tub that you can soak in with Epsom salts provided by our favorite local tea store.
The bedroom has a comfy queen bed with lots of natural light and blackout curtains for those of us that like to sleep a little later. There is a closet with enough space for a longer stay.
Our laundry room is a shared space with washer, dryer, and freezer that you are welcome to use. We do ask that you leave things as you found them and not take any of the food in the freezer.
Other things to note
The house has stairs down to the apartment.
It is an older house and the floors are a little creaky.
We have a window unit for air conditioning that you can move to the bedroom or living room.
The unit doesn't have its own thermostat but we can easily change the temperature if you let us know your preference. There are also lots of secondary heat sources.
Pets are welcome if they do well with our cats and are well trained. We will charge an extra cleaning fee for pets but if you inquire when booking we are often good with your pets.
