Mitchell's East Side is great for any large group, but if you have one or more people who must work during the vacation, it's absolutely the best choice! Here, work is taken seriously instead of being relegated to a tiny table off the kitchen. We have high-speed WiFi and a full, beautiful study, complete with large desk, shelves, sleep-ready leather armchair with footstool, and drop-dead views out of large, bright windows. Wait -- are you really working in here? It feels like you are on vacation even when you are at the computer!
And nobody has to sacrifice to give you this workspace. Mitchell's East Side also has an immense living room and a smaller, cozier study. Three "common areas" to choose from, and every one of them vying for the titles of Best View and Most Snooze-worthy!
The entire house is tiled in beautifully polished terracotta, the ceilings are viga, the windows oversized, and the patios accessible from several rooms. One long patio on two levels stretches the length of the house, while another, with high walls, sacrifices views for much-prized privacy. Indoors or out, there is room to spare at Mitchell's East Side, and all of it is gorgeous!
Step into the living room and you immediately realize why your group is going to love Mitchell's East Side. There is a big fireplace in one corner and around it two very comfy sofas, a coffee table, lamps -- all the trimmings! But then, in another corner, is a large curved sofa, set back from the fireplace gathering area. So you can have everyone in one room, yet still have one group giggling over Telestrations in the background while another reminisces in front of the crackling fire. Or, better yet, the napper can stretch out in the corner and fall asleep to the sounds of the family having fun. (The large couch unfolds into a bed for two, just in case you have guests or want to see how beautifully those floor-to- ceiling windows handle the sunrise!)
Need even more privacy to watch your favorite movie (again)? A small and very sweet den charms you with a big flat-screen TV, long panel of windows, and a pair of snuggly sofas.
The kitchen and dining areas are spotless, bright, and inviting, beginning with the long, wide breakfast bar that seats 4 comfortably and doubles as a buffet station. Line up your sous-chefs here as you start cooking on the stainless-steel appliances in this lovely tile and wood kitchen. The gas cooktop includes a grill, and the cupboards and drawers are stuffed with everything you need to satisfy your inner chef. Set a fine table in the dining room for a formal meal, or let everyone fend for themselves family-style! You will love using this kitchen, not to mention dining in the beams of sunlight pouring through the big windows.
When it's time for bed, you can be certain that everyone is in for a wonderful rest in quiet and comfort. The primary suite is palatial, with a king-sized bed, kiva fireplace, padded chair with footstool, big TV, and world-class views. The en-suite bath must be seen to be believed, with charming tile patterning around a sunken tub and walk-in shower. Better set an alarm -- you won't want to leave this suite otherwise!
The second bedroom has a king bed as well, its own TV, and an enviable easy chair for the reader in the group. It has access to a patio as well as to the second bathroom, with a shower/tub combination and pretty tiled vanity with decorated ceramic sink.
The third bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, TV, and easy chair. It's within easy reach of the third full bath, with both shower and tub. And there is even a laundry room tucked into Mitchell's East Side, complete with a small sink for washing off those skiing and hiking togs!

The enclosed patio offers a lovely space for children to play and the family to dine in privacy, while the long covered patio presents panoramic views you will remember the rest of your lives.
